This Venetian Murano millerose glass lentil bead measures 35mm (3.5cm or approx 1.5") The bead hole is 3mm
24k gold foil has been applied over an opaque blue glass base, then rosebuds have been hand painted in molten glass (while the bead is still in liquid form) and ribbons of aventurina (copper) are added.
The pattern is completely different to each side and both sides have been photographed. Some of the 24k gold foil has been encased in crystal clear glass but where small parts of it are exposed, this may be subject to a little wear over time and/or contact with other jewelry, this is not a fault, simply a characteristic of exterior foiled beads.
